Vice-President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan participated in the International MSME Day 2026 celebrations at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, where he launched multiple digital initiatives and emphasized the critical role of MSMEs in India's journey towards Viksit Bharat @2047.

During the event, the Vice-President launched six major digital portals: PMEGP 2.0 Portal, Samadhaan 2.0 Portal, Procurement and Marketing Support (PMS) 2.0 Portal, MSME Global Mart 2.0 Portal, Testing Centre Portal, and the multilingual enablement initiative of the Ministry of MSME. Additionally, the MSME Idea Hackathon 6.0 was launched, and the Vice-President released e-books on the Self-Reliant India (SRI) Fund and PM Vishwakarma (PMV) Scheme while also launching new products of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).

The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) received special recognition with its elevation to Schedule 'A' Company status, which was felicitated by the Vice-President. He emphasized that quality, innovation, and technology adoption are essential for long-term MSME success, stating that cost reduction should never come at the expense of quality and that maintaining superior quality is key to sustaining businesses in competitive global markets.

The Vice-President called for greater dynamism within the sector, urging that every micro enterprise should aspire to become small, and every small enterprise should grow into medium-sized. He emphasized the importance of adequate investment, policy support, and easier access to finance to facilitate this transition. He also urged the Ministry of MSME to encourage universal registration of MSMEs to improve data quality and enable more effective policy formulation.

Addressing technological changes, the Vice-President referenced the United Nations theme "Human-Centered Entrepreneurship in an AI-Driven Future" and stated that technological change should be viewed as an opportunity rather than a threat. He expressed confidence that Artificial Intelligence would create new growth avenues if adopted constructively.

The event was attended by Union Minister for MSME Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Minister of State for MSME Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Chairman of KVIC Shri Manoj Kumar, Secretary of Ministry of MSME Shri Bharat Khera, senior officials, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs.
