Vice-President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan addressed the 58th Foundation Day celebrations of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, emphasizing the critical role of good governance in sustaining investor confidence and public trust. He described good governance as the "invisible infrastructure" that supports economic progress and identified company secretaries as "Guardians of Governance" and the nucleus of India Inc.'s trust architecture.

The Vice-President noted that ICSI has evolved beyond traditional regulatory compliance to become an important institution advancing good governance over its nearly six-decade journey. He highlighted that in an era shaped by Artificial Intelligence and advanced data analytics, technology may transform how information is generated and decisions are supported, but integrity, accountability, transparency, and responsibility remain fundamentally human qualities.

Shri Radhakrishnan emphasized that trust, transparency, and corporate governance form the essential infrastructure of a modern economy, with investor confidence being crucial for sustained economic progress. He stated that strong institutions and sound governance will be as important as physical and digital infrastructure in building a Viksit Bharat, identifying ICSI, ICAI, and ICMAI as key institutional pillars of India's corporate and economic ecosystem.

The Vice-President launched the MSME Compliance Calendar 2027 and appreciated ICSI's initiatives for MSMEs and start-ups, including the ICSI MSME & Start-up Catalyst program. He also commended ICSI's contributions to the National Defence Fund under the Shaheed Ki Beti initiative and the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund of the Ministry of Defence. The event was attended by ICSI President C.S. Pawan Chandak, former Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sonal Mansingh, and ICSI Secretary C.S. Asish Mohan, among others.
