Several Indian companies are actively expanding their presence in the battery energy storage system (BESS) sector. ACME Solar commissioned multiple BESS projects, including a 33.333 MW facility and reported FY26 revenue of INR 2,507 Cr with a net realization of approximately INR 2.2 Cr/day. Additionally, Ceigall India secured a 100 MW BESS contract in Punjab, while SPML Infra won a significant 1 GWh project from NTPC. Pace Digitek has also entered the African market through an exclusivity agreement with NEC XON, and Rajesh Power Services is pursuing BESS projects alongside its distribution and transmission work.
