The Indian government is prioritizing civil service capacity building and modernization through several initiatives. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) are hosting a National Capacity Building Summit focused on performance-linked training and incorporating AI-enabled learning. Simultaneously, the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) has launched its first training program for Seychelles civil servants, part of a broader effort to train 250 officials in digital transformation. These efforts underscore a commitment to strengthening government operations and employee welfare, as highlighted by the recent National Council JCM meeting and a Supreme Court ruling mandating notional promotions for stenographers.
