Overview

AIM Global Foundation, represented by its Chairman Dawood Al Shezawi, conducted a four‑day visit to India from 5 to 8 August 2026 to deepen investment dialogue with senior government officials, major conglomerates, private enterprises, chambers of commerce and industry associations. The meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation and linking Indian businesses with international opportunities across advanced manufacturing, technology, startups, sustainable infrastructure, trade and the digital economy.

Bilateral Trade Context

The UAE‑India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, signed on 18 February 2022 and effective from 1 May 2022, provides the framework for expanded trade and private‑sector collaboration. According to India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry, bilateral trade reached US$100.06 billion in the 2024‑25 financial year, reflecting a 19.6 % increase year‑on‑year. In January 2026 the two governments agreed to pursue a target of US$200 billion in bilateral trade by 2032.

AIM Congress 2026

The 15th edition of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress will be held from 7 to 9 September 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The congress theme is “Reshaping Global Prosperity: Unlocking New Investment Pathways Towards a Sustainable and Inclusive Future”, structured around three pillars – Global Markets, Future Economies and NexGen. The event is positioned as a global platform for Indian investors, companies, entrepreneurs and institutions to engage with policymakers, sovereign and institutional investors, international organisations and business leaders worldwide.
