Chanakya University Opens 340k‑sq‑ft Academic Block

Chanakya University inaugurated a 340,000 sq ft Sudha & Kris Gopalakrishnan Academic Block near Bengaluru airport on May 4, 2026.
The block can host 3,600 students, featuring 70+ classrooms, 25+ labs, maker spaces and a 300‑seat auditorium named after Dr K. Kasturirangan.
Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted the block as a step toward NEP‑2020‑driven competency, research and innovation‑led higher education for Viksit Bharat 2047.
Since its 2022 launch, Chanakya University expanded from ~100 to 2,300 students, 20 to 160 faculty, and 5 to 40 programmes.
