DES Pune University Unveils NEP Interdisciplinary Programs

DES Pune University announced launch of flexible, interdisciplinary B.Sc. and M.Sc. programmes aligned with NEP 2020, starting academic year 2026‑27.
B.Sc. offers 3‑year or 4‑year Honours with single/double majors in biotech, biochemistry, microbiology, bioinformatics, maths, statistics, data science, 120 seats.
M.Sc. programmes in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Wildlife Conservation and Sustainable Development each have 30 seats, featuring credit‑based semesters, internships and research projects.
Curriculum integrates core subjects, electives, skill courses, labs, field studies and project‑based learning to boost employability in data science, bioinformatics, sustainability sectors.
