Endurance Technologies Limited has commenced commercial production at its new greenfield manufacturing plant located at Mindewadi, Taluka Maval, District Pune, Maharashtra effective from June 17, 2026. This disclosure is made pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The facility manufactures Lithium Ion Battery packs with an initial installed capacity of approximately 26,000 packs per month. The plant is designed to be expandable up to approximately 35,000 packs per month through installation of balance equipment. The company stated that capacity expansion will be initiated upon securing further orders from its OEM customers.
This development follows the company's earlier communication dated April 29, 2025, which disclosed approval of capital expenditure for setting up this manufacturing facility. The original disclosure indicated a capex outlay of approximately ₹473 million for the project, financed through internal accruals.
The plant was established to manufacture Lithium Ion Battery Packs of various configurations suitable for mobility applications and battery energy storage systems for other applications. The product launch was originally scheduled for January 2026 and caters to the domestic market.
The rationale for this strategic initiative, as disclosed in the April 2025 filing, is to meet growing demand in mobility and energy storage sectors and extend the company's product offering. The company noted that this new product line complements the existing business of its subsidiary, Maxwell Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd., which designs, develops and supplies battery management systems for various applications.
This represents an important commitment by the company to include products promoting sustainability in mobility and other applications within its portfolio.
