VSL PowerHive Pvt. Ltd., the battery and energy storage arm of Vikram Solar Limited, announced on 27 August 2026 the commercial launch of the P261, its first official product under the PowerHive brand. The P261 is a 125 kW/261 kWh liquid‑cooled battery energy storage system (BESS) aimed at industrial and commercial consumers in India and overseas.

Technical Specifications

  • Battery chemistry: Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) with a nominal voltage of 832 V and cell capacity of 314 Ah.
  • Energy capacity: 261 kWh; power rating: 125 kW.
  • Temperature operating range: –30 °C to 50 °C.
  • Enclosure rating: IP52S, protecting against dust and water ingress.
  • Cooling: Precision liquid‑cooling system to preserve cell health and extend battery life.
  • Safety: Integrated fire‑suppression system and multi‑layer protection against over‑charge, short‑circuit and thermal events.
  • Management: Built‑in energy management system offering real‑time monitoring, remote diagnostics and unified control of solar input, grid, storage and EV charging.

Applications

The system is positioned to support backup power, peak‑load management, demand‑charge reduction, solar energy storage, diesel‑generator reduction, power‑quality improvement, electric‑vehicle charging, micro‑grid deployments and utility‑scale grid support.
