Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL) has signed an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Agreement with a Special Purpose Vehicle of a leading global Independent Power Producer (IPP) for development of a utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) project integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in New Zealand.
- The project is being developed in consortium with two experienced local companies
- This marks the Company's strategic entry into the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) renewable energy market
- The ECI Agreement is an early-stage engagement for preliminary work
- Upon completion of ECI work, the Principal may sign an EPC contract for the project with the consortium
- The ECI Agreement is valid for a period of approximately 4 months
- Project execution timelines shall be for a period of 24 months upon signing of the EPC contract
- The agreement is with an international entity
- This is not a related party transaction
- The promoter/promoter group/group companies have no interest in the entity that awarded the agreement
- The Company received intimation/the Letter(s) of Award on July 27, 2026, at 10:47 am (IST)
