Preliminary Q3 Results

Eos Energy Enterprises Inc (NASDAQ:EOSE) reported preliminary third‑quarter revenue of $82‑$83 million, representing a sequential increase of roughly 20% and a year‑over‑year rise of more than 169%, surpassing the consensus estimate of $80.97 million.

Operational Highlights

Shipments grew 23% quarter‑over‑quarter as the second manufacturing line at the Thorn Hill facility contributed approximately 17% of total battery output. The new line achieved first‑pass yields comparable with the initial production site. GAAP gross margin is expected to narrow to a negative range of 53%‑55%, an improvement of about 17 percentage points from the prior quarter, marking the eighth consecutive quarter of gross‑margin expansion.

Liquidity Position

Cash and restricted cash at quarter‑end stood at roughly $344 million, down from $364 million at the end of June. Operating cash inflows totaled $114 million, driven by customer deposits, project receipts, and tax‑credit collections, and were supplemented by an $87 million draw on a Department of Energy loan. Capital expenditures for the quarter were $35 million.

Commercial Backlog

The commercial backlog was approximately $765 million, equivalent to 3.2 GWh of battery capacity, reflecting new order bookings and recognized revenue across defense, commercial, and data‑center markets, including projects with partners such as Google and MN8.

Guidance and Outlook

Management narrowed full‑year 2026 revenue guidance to the lower half of the previously disclosed $300‑$350 million range, aligning with consensus expectations of $304.37 million. The guidance assumes completion of the final shift addition required for continuous 24‑hour operation at Thorn Hill, after full consolidation of manufacturing onto the site, which is expected to deliver about 4 GWh of annual nameplate capacity across its two automated lines. CFO Alessandro Lagi indicated that consolidation onto a single modern site provides a clear path toward positive operating margins amid sustained demand for domestic long‑duration energy storage.
