The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, New Delhi, has been awarded the 'Rajbhasha Utkrishtta Sammaan' for the year 2025–26 by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs. This recognition was given for the department's outstanding work and continuous excellent performance in the implementation of the Official Language.
The award was conferred by Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Secretary Nivedita Shukla Verma during the 6th All India Official Language Conference held at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, on September 14, 2026, coinciding with Hindi Diwas celebrations.
This achievement follows the department's previous recognition with the Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar (First Prize) for two consecutive years—2023–24 and 2024–25. Notably, the department secured first position again this year for its excellent performance in Official Language implementation, though standard rules typically exclude consecutive first prize winners from receiving the award in subsequent years. The special 'Rajbhasha Utkrishtta Sammaan' was created specifically to recognize the department's consistent excellence over several years in the field of Official Language implementation.
