Cabinet Approves 2026-27 Kharif Crop MSP Increases

Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved MSP increases for 14 Kharif crops for marketing season 2026-27.
Sunflower seed received highest absolute increase of ₹622/quintal, followed by cotton (₹557) and nigerseed (₹515).
MSPs set at 1.5 times production cost with margins ranging from 50-61% across different crops.
Procurement of 14 Kharif crops reached 8746 LMT during 2014-15 to 2025-26, with ₹18.99 lakh crore paid to farmers.
