Centre Releases Over ₹1,500 Cr XV FC Grants to 6 States

The Union Government released over ₹1,500 crore in 15th Finance Commission grants to Panchayati Raj Institutions in six states.
The grants, both tied and untied, are for rural local bodies in Telangana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Mizoram, and Meghalaya.
The funds are allocated for location-specific development, with tied grants for sanitation and drinking water, and untied grants for local priorities.
