The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) released its 49th monthly report on the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) for May 2026, detailing the performance of Central Ministries and Departments in public grievance redressal.

In May 2026, Central Ministries/Departments redressed a total of 178,423 grievances, marking the 47th consecutive month where monthly disposal crossed 1 lakh cases in the Central Secretariat. The average grievance disposal time across Central Ministries/Departments for 2026 stands at 13 days. The system received 176,719 new PG cases during the month, with a pendency of 81,075 cases remaining.

For appeals, the system received 31,925 appeals in May 2026 and disposed of 31,149, leaving an appeal pendency of 21,752 cases. The report also noted that 65,174 new users registered on CPGRAMS in May 2026, with Uttar Pradesh contributing the highest number of registrations at 11,365.

The Feedback Call Centre collected 78,830 feedbacks in May 2026, of which 46,547 were specifically for Central Ministries/Departments. Through Common Service Centres, which have been integrated with CPGRAMS and are available at over 5 lakh locations associated with 2.5 lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs, 8,562 grievances were registered in May 2026.

The Grievance Redressal Assessment and Index (GRAI) rankings for May 2026 showed Department of Posts, Department of Financial Services (Insurance Division), and Department of Telecommunications as top performers in Group A (≥500 grievances). In Group B (<500 grievances), Department of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Textiles, and Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs were the top performers.

The report also highlighted the operationalization of the Review Meeting Module since May 14, 2025, which facilitates Secretary-level reviews of public grievances. As of May 31, 2026, 352 review meetings have been conducted, with 19 meetings held in May 2026 alone. A significant development was the launch of the CPGRAMS AI-Enabled Voice Chatbot, Samadhan Didi, by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (PP), on May 30, 2026, at Kartavya Bhawan, New Delhi.
