According to the report, the Department of Financial Services (Insurance Division) achieved 3rd position in the Grievance Redressal Assessment & Index (GRAI) for the Group A category, while the Department of Financial Services (Banking Division) secured 6th position. The DFS has maintained consistent performance, ranking among the top 10 ministries/departments in GRAI rankings since November 2025.
During June 2026, the Department of Financial Services disposed of more than thirty thousand grievances. The department employs robust monitoring mechanisms including personal review of randomly selected grievances by senior officials on a regular basis. Additionally, DFS conducts regular workshops on "Effective Grievance Redressal Mechanism" which play a crucial role in strengthening grievance redressal systems by promoting best practices, improving stakeholder coordination, leveraging technology, and fostering a customer-centric culture.
