The Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) has commenced the preparatory phase for Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM 6.0) following its launch by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) on September 16, 2026. The main campaign period is scheduled from October 2 to October 31, 2026, with focus areas including pendency reduction, records management, institutionalization of Swachhata, and strengthening internal monitoring mechanisms.
DoPPW has identified 21 cleanliness sites nationwide through coordination with Central Government Pensioners' Associations and their affiliated associations. During the preparatory phase, Joint Secretary (Pension) inspected all identified cleanliness sites in office premises and directed officials to achieve campaign targets. As part of the 'Swachhata Hi Sewa' programme, Dr. Jitendra Singh (MoS PP) along with Secretary (Pension) Smt. Nivedita Shukla Verma and all DoPPW officials will participate in a plantation drive at CSOI Vinay Marg Sports Complex, New Delhi on October 1, 2026.
The campaign has set specific quantitative targets: disposal of 6,500 public grievances, 800 appeals, review of 847 physical files and 653 electronic files. Additionally, 23 Office Memorandums (OMs) are to be issued to enhance ease of living for pensioners through 'Ease of Rules' initiatives. The campaign expects to generate revenue of ₹25,000 from its activities. Daily progress will be monitored by a dedicated team and uploaded to the SCDPM portal hosted by DARPG.
