Election Commission SIR Phase-III in 16 States, 3 UTs

• Election Commission directs Special Intensive Revision covering 36.73 crore electors across 16 States and 3 Union Territories.
• Over 3.94 lakh Booth Level Officers will conduct house-to-house visits assisted by 3.42 lakh political party-appointed Booth Level Agents.
• SIR Phase-III excludes Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh due to ongoing Census and weather considerations.
• Previous SIR phases covered 13 States/UTs with 59 crore electors, 6.3 lakh BLOs, and 9.2 lakh BLAs participating.
