The Department of Fisheries, under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, along with its subordinate offices and autonomous bodies, will actively participate in Special Campaign 6.0 from October 2 to 31, 2026. The campaign is being undertaken in accordance with guidelines from the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and aims to institutionalize Swachhata while promoting efficient office management through reduction of pendency, improved record management, optimal utilization of office space, and systematic disposal of scrap and e-waste.
The initiative builds upon the significant achievements of Special Campaign 5.0 conducted in October 2025, with the Department resolving to further strengthen its cleanliness and administrative reforms initiatives. The campaign will be implemented in two phases: a Preparatory Phase from September 15 to 30, 2026, followed by an Implementation Phase from October 2 to 31, 2026.
As part of preparatory activities, a hybrid review meeting was convened on September 17, 2026 by the Department's Nodal Officer with representatives of all subordinate offices and autonomous bodies. The meeting focused on finalization of action plans, target setting, conduct of cleanliness drives, reduction of pendency, strengthening of record management practices, and effective disposal of scrap and e-waste. Emphasis was also placed on robust monitoring and timely reporting to ensure successful implementation across all offices.
Through this participation, the Department reaffirms its commitment to institutionalizing Swachhata, enhancing workplace efficiency, streamlining office processes, and fostering a clean, organized, and citizen-centric work environment.
