The Ministry of Labour and Employment is implementing Special Campaign 6 from October 2-31, 2026, focused on strengthening efficiency, cleanliness, and citizen-centric service delivery. The campaign aims to expedite resolution of long-pending matters including references from Members of Parliament, State Governments, inter-ministerial communications, Parliamentary Assurances, PMO references, and public grievances.
During the preparatory phase from September 15-30, 2026, the Ministry set specific targets including reviewing and organizing over 100,000 physical files, undertaking cleanliness and space-clearing activities at more than 2,000 sites nationwide to create over 100,000 square feet of usable space, and disposing of more than 30,000 public grievances along with over 5,000 grievance appeals.
The campaign includes a comprehensive review of existing rules, regulations, and procedures to identify and eliminate unnecessary compliance requirements and simplify processes. A key focus is on improving cleanliness and space utilization across the Ministry, its attached and subordinate offices, and autonomous bodies, with special emphasis on proper collection, segregation, and disposal of e-waste in accordance with environmental norms.
The implementation phase will build upon preparatory progress with continued efforts toward achieving identified targets, reducing pendency, improving workplace conditions, streamlining processes, and strengthening efficient service delivery mechanisms.
