Maharashtra CET Cell Records 18.12 Lakh Participants

The State CET Cell reported record participation of about 18.12 lakh students in 2026, a 28% rise from 2025.
Technology-driven initiatives—CBT expansion, Atal mock tests, district extension centers, and GIS mapping—boosted rural access, with smartphone penetration reaching 84% in 2024.
Applications surged 11% in 2024 to 13.02 lakh across Engineering, Pharmacy, and Agriculture, with Engineering attracting 46.1% of male candidates.
The Cell aims for 1.8 million (18 lakh) annual participants by 2029‑30, positioning Maharashtra as a national benchmark.
