The Ministry of Culture is actively participating in Special Campaign 6.0 launched by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India. The campaign includes a preparatory phase from September 16-30, 2026, and an implementation phase from October 2-31, 2026, with special focus on e-waste disposal in government offices.

During the preparatory phase, the Ministry and its organizations identified 595 sites across the country for cleanliness drives. The Ministry has identified pending references for disposal and redressal, including 80 MP references, 46 parliamentary assurances, 26 PMO references, 28 state government references, 92 public grievances, and 44 public grievance appeals. Additionally, 31,515 physical files and 323 e-files have been identified for review.

The Ministry undertook several activities under the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2026 during September, including a slogan-writing competition on 'Swachhata Mein Sahbhag' on September 18, a poster-making competition on 'Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat' on September 22, a nukkad natak in collaboration with National School of Drama on September 23 focusing on swachhata, heritage and culture themes, and a shramdaan drive and weeding out drive in coordination with National Archives of India on September 29 which included inspection of record rooms and identification of old files for weeding out.

Upcoming activities include an 'Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath' shramdaan and plantation drive at Purana Qila, Delhi on October 2, 2026, in coordination with Archaeological Survey of India. A training session on records management was held on September 29, 2025, at National Archives of India. Daily progress will be monitored and uploaded on the SCDPM portal hosted by DARPG, with all attached, subordinate and autonomous organizations participating to achieve the Ministry's targets.
