The selection process involves a detailed timeline: final submission of self-nominations by teachers from July 11-13, 2026; constitution of an Independent National Jury in mid-July 2026; shortlisting by District/Regional Selection Committees from July 14-21, 2026; shortlisting by State/Organization Selection Committees from July 22-29, 2026; intimation to shortlisted candidates for jury interaction from July 30-31, 2026; selection process by Independent National Jury from August 3-7, 2026; finalization of recommendations by jury on August 8, 2026; intimation to selected awardees after approval by the Education Minister from August 10-20, 2026; and finally the rehearsal and award ceremony on September 4-5, 2026.
