The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises is preparing for Special Campaign 6.0, scheduled from October 2 to 31, 2026, under the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances. This campaign focuses on improving cleanliness and citizen experience across government offices, with particular emphasis on effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste in compliance with the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022. The campaign targets field and outstation offices that directly interface with the public, in addition to Ministries/Departments, their attached and subordinate offices, Autonomous Bodies and PSUs.
During the preparatory phase from September 15-30, 2026, the Ministry is sensitizing offices down to the field level and developing an action plan. The implementation phase will drive cleanliness, e-waste disposal, digitization, record weeding, space management, and clearance of various pending matters including MP References, State Government references, Parliamentary Assurances, PMO references, and public grievances.
In the previous Special Campaign 5.0, the Ministry and its organizations achieved significant results: reviewed 23,162 physical files, weeded out 4,280 files, freed up 21,045 square feet of office space, and disposed of scrap worth ₹22.89 lakh. The campaign cleared over 81% of MP references and 99% of public grievances through 1,045 cleanliness campaigns conducted during the period.
Following DARPG's directions to sustain momentum, the Ministry continued campaign activities from November 2025 to September 2026, resulting in disposal of 22,365 Public Grievances, 4,850 Public Grievances Appeals, and 226 MP references. Additionally, 626 physical files and 127 e-files were weeded out after review, and approximately 1,167 square feet of space was freed. Ministry officers visited field offices and institutions to sensitize staff and review campaign performance.
