The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the provisional results of the written component of the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination 2026, which was conducted from June 19 to June 21, 2026. Candidates with specific roll numbers have now qualified for the Interview/Personality Test stage of the selection process. Their candidature remains provisional and is contingent upon verification of eligibility through original certificates related to age, educational qualifications, community, and disability status (where applicable) during the Personality Test.

All qualified candidates are mandated to log in to the UPSC online portal (https://upsconline.nic.in) within a 15-day window following the result declaration to update their application details. This update includes educational qualification status, proof of passing requisite exams, correspondence address, higher education, employment history, and other relevant information. Even candidates with no updates must log in to verify details and submit their form to generate the essential e-summon letter for the interview; failure to do so will result in disqualification from further stages.

The exact schedule for the Personality Test will be published on the UPSC website (https://upsc.gov.in) in due course, and the specific date will be communicated via the e-Summon Letter. The commission explicitly states that requests to change the interview date or time will not be entertained. Following the conclusion of the interviews and the publication of the final result, individual marksheets will be made available on the website for a period of 30 days. Candidates can access them using their roll number and date of birth. Hard copies will be issued only upon specific request with a self-addressed stamped envelope within this 30-day window. For clarifications, the UPSC Call Centre (Tel. No. 011-40303444/24041001) is available from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
