The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions provided a parliamentary update on the implementation of iGOT Mission Karmayogi in West Bengal. Currently, 90,276 civil servants from West Bengal have been onboarded on the iGOT Karmayogi digital learning platform, though the state government has not yet signed the required tripartite Memorandum of Understanding under Mission Karmayogi.
Eight draft Capacity Building Plans have been prepared for West Bengal's priority departments. The iGOT platform hosts over 5,600 courses covering domain, functional, and behavioural competencies, available to all registered users including those from West Bengal. As of the reporting date, learners from West Bengal have recorded 10,493 course completions.
All Central Government employees and All India Services officers serving in West Bengal are mandated to complete prescribed courses annually on iGOT, with completion status reflected in their respective Annual Performance Assessment Reports (APARs). The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), along with implementing agencies Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and SPV Karmayogi Bharat (KB), are supporting West Bengal's capacity building initiatives through handholding for role-based competency framework adoption, platform onboarding, and integration with other HR tools. A Programme Coordinator from CBC and an Assistant Manager from KB serve as Nodal Officers for West Bengal, with additional support provided through the Training for All (TFA) scheme across all states and UTs.
