Regulatory Compliance Disclosure

Indian Bank submitted a disclosure under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015 regarding findings from the RBI Inspection for Supervisory Evaluation (ISE) 2026.

RBI Inspection Findings

The RBI inspection identified two key calculation errors:

  • The Bank incorrectly included Specific Provision attributed to Standard Assets with probable stress in particular assets/segments amounting to ₹3,823 Crore as part of General Provisions and Loss Reserves (GPLR)
  • The Bank incorrectly reckoned ₹2,470 Crore as part of Tier 2 Capital
  • The Bank did not apply Credit Conversion Factor (CCF) to undrawn exposures on accounts with Unconditional Cancellability Clause (UCC), resulting in underestimation of Credit Risk Weighted Assets by ₹22,079 Crore

Capital Adequacy Impact

The comparative assessment of Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) and Capital to Risk-weighted Assets Ratio (CRAR) as calculated by the Bank versus RBI assessment:

| Particular | Calculated by Bank | Assessed by RBI |

| Credit Risk Weighted Assets (₹ Crore) | 376,320 | 398,512 |

| Total RWA (₹ Crore) | 437,546 | 459,737 |

| Common Equity Tier 1 (CET 1) (₹ Crore) | 71,764 | 71,764 |

| Tier 2 Capital (₹ Crore) | 6,704 | 4,234 |

| CET-1 CRAR (%) | 16.40% | 15.61% |

| Tier 2 CRAR (%) | 1.53% | 0.92% |

| Total CRAR (%) | 17.93% | 16.53% |

Financial Impact Clarification

  • The RWA and CRAR adjustments assessed by RBI have no impact on the Net Profit reported as of March 31, 2026
  • The Bank's CET 1 CRAR (15.61%) and Total CRAR (16.53%) remain well above RBI's minimum requirements of 5.50% for CET 1 and 11.50% for Total CRAR
  • The Bank has already incorporated these RBI assessment aspects in its RWA and CRAR calculations for the quarter ended September 30, 2026
