The CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) has implemented SARAL AI, an initiative of Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), to convert research published in its journals into engaging and accessible videos. This initiative aligns with the Government's emphasis on adopting emerging technologies for effective science communication and was encouraged by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister for Science & Technology. Under the leadership of Dr. Geetha Vani Rayasam, Director of CSIR-NIScPR, the institute organized a hands-on workshop on SARAL AI with participation from more than 90 participants including journal editors and researchers. The videos are being made available through a dedicated YouTube playlist (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLb4FmdATtzOs) to provide an additional digital pathway for research to reach audiences beyond traditional research papers, particularly among students and the general public.
