On July 6, 2026, EMI Fashion Week 2026 was staged in Mumbai, Maharashtra, celebrating its 20th edition. Organized by EMI—a premier B2B exhibition platform founded in 2008 that connects manufacturers, buyers, and industry professionals—the event placed Indian tradition and culture at its core by showcasing the latest ethnic menswear collections.

Direction and Creative Execution

The runway show was directed by Utsav Dholakia, widely regarded as India's top fashion show director. Dholakia’s direction combined precision choreography, dramatic lighting effects, curated music, and striking visuals to create a high‑impact, culturally resonant experience. The overall concept and creative curation were developed by Marrygold WCE, whose collaboration with Dholakia set a benchmark for the ethnic menswear calendar.

Twelve leading men's fashion brands participated, presenting their newest ethnic lines. The brands included Shloka, Aebbe, Tathastu, Global, Kamaaj's, Bennevis, Status, MFS, Aamra, Senso, Acros and Rechannel. Each brand displayed collections that blended heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design, reinforcing the event’s focus on ethnic menswear.

Models and Audience

India's top 40 male models walked the runway, bringing each ensemble to life. The audience comprised prominent figures from the men's fashion industry, underscoring the event’s stature within the sector.
