Ministry of Agriculture reports total summer crop area coverage of 58.29 lakh hectares as of April 3, 2026.
Rice area decreased by 2.47 lakh hectares while pulses increased by 1.77 lakh hectares compared to last year.
Oilseeds coverage reached 7.74 lakh hectares with groundnut showing significant growth of 0.39 lakh hectares.
Overall summer crop area increased by 0.48 lakh hectares compared to corresponding period last year.
