The Ministry of Textiles is hosting the 'Designer Atelier' Exhibition-cum-Sale at the Central Cottage Industries Emporium, Jawahar Vyapar Bhawan, Janpath, New Delhi, from September 12 to October 1, 2026. The exhibition will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and was inaugurated by Shri Akhilesh Kumar, DDG (Textiles) and Chairman of Central Cottage Industries Corporation, along with Shri Bimal Gopalachari, Managing Director of CCIC, in the presence of senior officials and dignitaries.
The exhibition aims to promote India's rich textile heritage by showcasing designer creations that combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary designs. It features intricate handloom weaves, traditional prints, modern silhouettes, and designer collections, offering products for both traditional and contemporary fashion enthusiasts. The initiative is timed to coincide with the festive and upcoming wedding season, providing visitors opportunity to explore distinctive Indian textiles and handcrafted fashion while supporting the country's weavers, artisans, and craft communities.
The primary objective is to encourage the use of authentic handloom and handwoven products representing India's diverse craft traditions and cultural ethos, while providing artisans with a wider platform to showcase their creations and connect directly with consumers.
