RBI inaugurated Mission SAKSHAM, a sector‑wide capacity‑building initiative for Urban Co‑operative Banks to boost managerial skills and compliance.
Programme will train about 1.40 lakh participants including board members, senior management, risk, compliance, audit heads, and IT staff.
Training will be delivered via in‑person and e‑learning modes, with regional‑language content where feasible, in consultation with umbrella organisations.
RBI expects the mission to strengthen institutional resilience, improve compliance culture, and support systemic stability and growth of the UCB sector.
